Is anyone here still enjoying this game? It's been a big part of my life for 13 years, and I'm hoping to find more players.
I used to enjoy the strategic side of games when I was younger, but now I miss the tactical depth in competitive play. I found myself drawn to the stealth aspect, though combat feels too repetitive and tiring, especially when trying to master any ability. I don’t like forcing myself into constant shifts between fighting styles during intense matches.
I was really looking forward to the updates in rs3, but my main concern is how unresponsive it seems to me. In my opinion, there’s no reason to play a game that feels slow and laggy when I could enjoy something like Path of Exile—modern, fully free-to-play, with more intricate mechanics. Edit* If they had created a smooth client-side version today, I’d be playing rs3 every day.
It's really fascinating you mention wanting a more polished client side. Since they're launching a brand new version, it's finally not limited to Java! They've moved to C++. The game now looks much more appealing and performs significantly better. I'm eager for the release and have to hold back from asking for it immediately.
