Your router resets all connections and blocks internet access, yet your laptop stays online via Ethernet. This issue has persisted intermittently over the past weeks or months. Restarting the router resolves it temporarily. Are there any steps you can take to fix it, or should you consider replacing the router? The Linksys model running Tomato Firmware v1.23.1607 is mentioned for reference.

You can buy an Ubiquiti AP and turn off the Wi-Fi on your router. These devices are affordable, combining an AP, switch, and router in one box for prices around 100 to 200 dollars.

I'm using the exact model because I recognize your router is a risk and has an Intel chipset, which differs from what's described here.
