Created a City of Heroes server and faced problems with the modem/router from Shaw Cables. The internal setup works for me, but others can’t join due to routing issues. Looking for recommendations on routers supporting Hairpin.

Are you sure you require it? In principle, you can connect using the local IP address and port.

Yes, the server is configured to forward all local connections through the external IP. This causes the game to time out when you try to log in from your local network, even though remote login works. I understand the setup for remote access since I used my laptop at a Second Cup and was able to play. Unfortunately, connecting locally still fails, regardless of the internal IP address.
