Router in Repeater setting for TP-LINK modem.
Router in Repeater setting for TP-LINK modem.
I own a TP-LINK 150Mbps Wireless N ADSL2+ modem router. I used it as a modem at home, but after upgrading my broadband, it stopped working. I searched online and found that to set up a repeater, you need two DSL routers. I’m wondering if there’s a way to configure DSL with the latest modem so it can connect wirelessly in a different way, similar to what you saw in the photo. Please let me know if you need more details about my router.
The instructions don't mention WDS setup specifically, so you'll need to follow general guidelines for wireless repeaters or consult your equipment manual for details.
There is a WDS configuration option, and I can link DLS to the DSL router via MAC address. However, my new fiber connection lacks the WDS setting, and my DSL modem router doesn’t support the scan-and-connect feature in WDS. I’m looking for ways to connect the fiber modem to my older DSL modem router.
