Your Linksys WRT3200ACM is behaving differently lately. The amber indicator lights up for the internet, but your connection still works—just feels slower than usual when loading web pages or other content. This isn’t typical behavior, since your internet and router have generally been reliable.

Could you clarify whether you're asking about potential color changes based on performance issues?

No, even after resetting, it still attempts to check for internet access and then defaults to solid amber. The connection seems to be related to a configuration problem, though no changes were made. I also had to re-enter my password because I hadn’t used it in about a year or two.

Shut down the modem and router. After that, restart the modem, let it settle for a few minutes before connecting, then turn on the router.

Attempted three times. I'm holding off until tomorrow to observe the results. It might be an unusual issue with my service. I don't want to replace the router yet, but tomorrow could bring some suggestions.

Check for odd lights on the modem connected to the WAN or internet.

Only the steady amber glow appears online. The Linksys web interface shows no problems. The logs don’t reveal anything unusual. I once tried a bright white light, but the 2.4GHz Wi-Fi failed, so I had to restart it.

I understand you're referring to the modem, not the wireless router.

The modem works perfectly, but the diagnostics show no problems. Web browsing has a minor delay when loading pages, which might indicate a DNS issue or a temporary Spectrum outage.

Sometimes ISPs can send updates to your modem or your WAN IP address may be pending renewal, and this can cause your connection to slow down until you reboot it. That's why I suggested power-cycling all units starting with the modem followed by the router.
