Hello! I've been using Asus MBS for some time now and recently upgraded to AM5. To support this change, I added a Rog Strix X670E-F Wi-Fi card, a 64GB DDR5 RAM from Corsair (CMK64GX5M2X6800C32), and an R9 7900X. After setting up the new configuration, the system keeps flashing the orange DRAM indicator and doesn't boot. I've tried several things: running each RAM module separately, using spare sticks from Crucial (4800), removing the CPU cooler, using the integrated GPU, skipping RAM, disabling CMOS, resetting the BIOS via the motherboard, and even attempting a BIOS flash with Asus Flashback. So far, nothing has worked. I'm running low on ideas and considering a full board replacement or other components instead. Just wanted to share what's been happening.

I’d use just one stick of RAM in the A2 slot and delete all drives except the boot drive. Then I’d start with the simplest setup—just memory and drives—and attempt to update the BIOS. If that succeeds and the system boots, I’d perform a fresh OS installation. Please let me know if you need anything else. Take care and good luck.

I was thinking about reinstalling everything for the OS, so it wasn’t a big deal. I tried in A1 maybe that’s why it didn’t work. I checked the RAM code in the QVL list for the MB and it wasn’t there, though I don’t think that’s the main problem—could be another factor... I’ve ordered some new RAM with similar performance (listed in QVL) that should arrive tomorrow to replace those units if the suggested method fails.

Sounds like a plan, let us know if it works. RAM can be tricky but once everything is good, it will stay that way until either a major machine malfunction or someone is messing with the BIOS. Take care and good luck.

I also tried your suggestion, but using a different stick didn’t help. It’s sad because I thought it would work. I’ll have to wait until tomorrow to get the new RAM and figure out that it’s actually the motherboard that needs replacing. This could waste three days. 😞

Sorry it didn't work. I'm hoping for a better outcome and your package should arrive soon, especially since Christmas is coming in the U.S. I also anticipate another delivery tomorrow with the Noctua NH-D15 CPU cooler and the Premium CPU Cooler featuring 2x NF-A15 PWM 140mm fans. It's clear you often use "cut and paste." Take care and good luck!

It’s Amazon Prime, so delivery should be fine—what’s really the problem is probably the MB issue instead of RAM. I don’t have a way to confirm if it’s the sticks, so maybe I should request a replacement board just in case. Lol
