Besides the fact that it occasionally boots, this product and the software come with major issues. I’ve never purchased another motherboard from ASUS or similar brands again. As a certified A+ technician since 1999, seeing such poor quality and forced branding is a clear risk to customers. Their BIOS and related tools are completely unreliable, failing to perform as promised. You’ll be shocked by how often Windows Explorer freezes or crashes. I used to love buying ASUS products, but this one is a complete waste of time!
If you receive a proposal from ASUS, head in the opposite way—there’s a lot to be said about buying American. The nonsense remains the same no matter where it comes from!

I've consistently used Asus boards in most of my projects and never faced any problems. The build I did for my brother recently ran smoothly with B350-F and R5 3600 at 4.1Ghz without any issues. My personal setup with the Asus Prime Z370-A also works well, handling 8700k at 5Ghz without any trouble. Asus BIOS is always clear and user-friendly for me.
In the end, you can't afford to buy anything for yourself since every brand makes faulty products, often repeatedly.
Honestly I think all mobos are trash - there just isn't too much competition in the field you have Gigabyte Asus MSI Biostar Asrock EVGA NZXT (lol?) And that's pretty much it? No reason for any of these companies to be less buggy / unreliable than the other. I mean to be fair their stuff mostly works, but far from perfect, and it may not even be viable with the thousands of possible mobo / cpu / ram / etc combinations. It's literally a lottery, I had the highly praised MSI B450 tomahawk MAX for my Ryzen 3600 for about 2 weeks, incredible sluggish BIOS, frequently crashing and / or rebooting into BIOS for no obvious reason. I'm using my old MSI B350M Mortar now and having much less issues, no random reboots etc. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
I had one and tested it with a 2700X without any problems. The BIOS was consistently solid—except for the X99 and newer EVGA UEFI models, where I’ve always preferred ASUS’s performance. Their older BIOS on X58 boards and the latest ones (B450-F, Prime Z370-A, Crosshair VII) are exceptional. The board looks great, and Aura works a bit odd but remains the top RGB solution I know of. I only switched to a CH7 to explore SLI, and now the B450-F is in a friend’s setup with an R5 2600, which I’ve manually optimized to 4GHz.

Even worse, a single negative encounter means the firm is terrible. I usually trust many opinions rather than just one person. Still, if he’s facing problems there’s a high likelihood I’ll too. Poor user interfaces and weak system connections could be problems.
