Are you sure about wanting a ban for altering the single-player mode of the game? You're looking to improve it with new clothes, gear, and other tweaks—not for rewards or shortcuts.

Modifying singleplayer settings doesn't guarantee you won't be banned.

Singleplayer works just as well as I know. Once you turn it on and switch to multiplayer, they become quite upset, even without doing anything.

According to official statements, you should be fine as long as you don’t use the internet while mods are enabled. However, some whispers suggest others might get banned even without mods active.

How do you "disable" mods exactly.

The problems come from how they identify mods. They only notice the service that loads them, not whether the mods are actually active. If you begin using mods, avoid online connections, and when you need to return, perform a fresh installation.

You can turn off mods using NexusModManager—it's not something I've tried before, but it should work for GTA Tho.

It seems you're suggesting they're likely okay playing solo but wouldn't recommend it in a multiplayer setting.
