Think about a simple solution, maybe just downgrading. After two years on forums and all that, I’ve figured it out… but now I spent five hours re-downloading GTA V only to find the same issue. It says I’m not connected to Epic Online. I can play Fortnite without a problem, so being online isn’t the main problem. Epic claims turning on auto-connect and switching to online fixes it, but that doesn’t seem right. Is there a code in every game that prevents launch unless online? Someone, help me before I lose it.

This situation can lead to problems similar to this one, and potentially many others if your date and time are incorrect. Have you attempted to reinstall the game and launcher? In the worst case, a complete Windows 10 installation might be necessary. Additionally, an internet connection issue could be the cause—such as a firewall or router blocking specific traffic required by the game.

As you say, you've tried everything. You definitely don't have anything that might be triggering it's anti cheat or something? I'm not hardware savvy (obviously), but do you know what I mean?

I removed the game, reinstalled it, adjusted the time zone settings in Windows, and changed some event log entries. Now everything is working properly. Thanks for your patience! :/

You've successfully resolved the issue, that's all that matters.

The Steam version could work with the Messing with the Time Zone workaround.
