Chose to enjoy rocket league using a controller and prefer a 360 setup. Have several wireless 360 devices but can't locate a nearby store for a dongle. Found a shop selling wired controllers around 300 kr (~35$). Thought about whether the wires affect gameplay or if a slightly cheaper dongle would be better. Also considering avoiding batteries whenever possible.

I've enjoyed Rocket League and various other titles using a connected Xbox One controller, and it has always been smooth.

It depends on your choice. The wire doesn't influence speed unless you consider battery life in wireless use.

I haven't had any issues with the Logitech F310 wire.

I favor wireless solutions over wired ones, though that’s just my preference. It’s mainly because wires often get tangled or I end up trying to walk away thinking I’m connected. As long as the new controller isn’t a generic one, I’d likely go for it. You should be able to locate a wireless dongle online at a reasonable price—my previous purchase cost me $10 and still performed well.
