rmation about games crashing after a RAM upgrade.
Recently, I upgraded my RAM from a 16Gb model at 3000mHz to 32Gb with a 3600mHz speed. Since then, I've encountered problems where, occasionally, a game (such as CS:GO, Rocket League, and Escape From Tarkov) would freeze for a few seconds before crashing entirely. When checking Event Viewer, the recurring issue seems to be an error with event ID 1000 followed by another event with ID 1001 at the moment of failure. I've run Windows 10's built-in memory test and it showed no issues. Apart from reinstalling Windows—which I'm determined not to do—I'm struggling to identify any other potential causes. My current setup includes an R7 3800X, the aforementioned RAM in two 16GB sticks, an X570 motherboard from MSI (exact model uncertain), and a ROG GTX 1070ti. Below are the errors I've received.
Hey there,
Are you configuring XMP for the RAM? If yes, adjust timings and voltage manually via BIOS. Consider testing DIMMS outside Windows using memtest86+ to see if it passes. Running one DIMM at a time could also be worth trying.
Bios are current? For Ryzen they can really assist with compatibility.
