RMA Information for Gigabyte Motherboards
I forwarded my Aorus Z-390 Master to Gigabyte Headquarters because the DIMMs were not working. I used USPS and followed up with tracking, but the package shows as delivered. On their website, the RMA status still indicates it hasn’t been received yet. It’s unclear if there’s a delay or if it’s just processing. As for when I’ll get my board back, it could depend on their current handling—please check the RMA page for updates.
RMAs with makers may require several weeks. It's usually better to contact the seller, since replacements are often provided.
Notice the main problem is the board I submitted was the replacement one Amazon provided, not the original I purchased which had the identical issue.
Transitioned to CPUs, motherboards, and memory modules. Anticipate a couple of weeks before receiving a replacement from the supplier. It’s conceivable the courier arrived but the support staff didn’t verify or handle it. Have you experienced two units with identical issues in DIMM slots? Was the issue related to not recognizing RAM in specific ports or another matter?
You're wondering if the issue might be related to your RAM or CPU memory bus. Let's go through the troubleshooting steps you've already taken.
When a memory is connected to the left two slots, the PC fails to boot and displays error code C1. Initially I assumed the problem was with the CPU mounting, but it turned out to be something else. I've reprogrammed the BIOS several times using various versions. I sent the board to a local shop for diagnostics for $70, which confirmed it's a faulty unit. Updated July 3, 2020 by Pondum
The only reason two boards might be faulty is if Amazon returned the same item or you're experiencing bad luck.
It seems there might be some confusion. I'm not sure if the store conducted tests on the board with a replacement component. It's possible the issue lies with the CPU, but they may have skipped testing it.
