Hi all, I bought a MSI mag z790 tomahawk max wifi motherboard recently. On building the CPU would not sit in the slot. On further close inspection I found an out of place pin by a bad join (see picture) Only problem is I think other pins have very slightly bent by the CPU not sitting down, is this rma worthy because of the poor manufacture or will the store blame me for bending pins?
It seems there was an issue during production, though the exact cause isn't clear. Users often face blame for physical damage, even if it wasn't intentional.
It seems this would be a straightforward return request. Your CPU couldn’t have failed even under heavy stress, suggesting a manufacturing defect. Please send it back quickly.
