Rivatuner displays outdated processor information.
Hello, I recently discovered that after a prolonged struggle to configure Rivatuner, it finally stabilized when I set my BIOS to its enhanced settings. However, it’s still displaying my previous processor, while all other systems recognize the newer model. This is quite peculiar; do you have any suggestions?
This seems unusual. Have you recently altered the processor? Did you perform a complete CMOS reset? Attempt an updated BIOS. Also, verify that your graphics card driver – MSI Afterburner/Rivatuner – are all running the newest versions. I believe this might be a simple software error. Updating everything should probably resolve the issue.
Rivatuner is accessing information from your computer.
Navigate to Device Manager and remove the previous processor.
If it’s concealed, open Command Prompt (with administrator privileges) and type
SET DEVMGR_SHOW_NONPRESENT_DEVICES=1
followed by pressing Enter.
Then enter
devmgmt.msc
and press Enter; Device Manager will appear.
Within the View tab, choose
Show hidden devices.
The outdated CPU will be displayed under Processors.
Reboot your computer.
My drivers are current, and within Device Manager with “hidden” options checked, it displays solely the latest version. Nvidia Experience, Speccy, and Device Manager all indicate the newest update. Possibly Riva is retaining an older configuration; I will attempt to re-install it.
