When attempting to install Rise Of Nations Gold Edition, this issue arises when I have 12% of the game installed:
__
Rise Of Nations Gold Setup encountered a disk error while writing to the file C:\Program Files\Rise Of Nations \Thrones and Patriot...\RENDER_CTW_New_World_Map_01.png.
Ensure your hard disk isn't full and the file isn't in use. Then it offers me the choices to "Retry" or "Abort".
I verified my hard disk isn't full and retrying doesn<|pad|>, but the same error persists. I even tried on another computer.
I'm installing it with a separate disk, not through Steam.
Anyone has advice? Thanks.

It might be that the disk is damaged or simply too outdated to function properly anymore, or there could be an issue with OS compatibility because it requires XP.

I'll examine the disc and I think I might buy it again. Thanks for your assistance!

if you plan to purchase it again, i suggest using steam. they offer the rise of nations extended edition and won't face any installation problems on your computer.

I just didn't catch the 75% discount they offered but I think I'll wait for the Christmas sales. Thanks!
