I purchased the parts and had someone assemble this workstation a month ago. As soon as I opened any program, the CPU temperature spiked and the fans began making loud sounds. Even though the task manager showed only 1-2% CPU usage, the situation was frustrating. Occasionally the PC would shut down due to errors like "CPU Fan error" or "CPU Temperature Error." I could see all the fans spinning, but I couldn't pinpoint the issue. I adjusted the software settings to prioritize the GPU, yet the problem continued. In BIOS, the fans display N/A. I updated my BIOS to the latest version but the issue remained. I attempted to manually tweak the fans in BIOS, but it didn't help. Now I'm unsure if the problem lies with the CPU itself or just with the cooler's performance. You can observe in Task Manager that the CPU usage is very low, around 1-2%. This happens when you pause again. After you begin working in Premiere (or any application), the graphs display a load of 80-90%, which is where the heat originates. An 80°C reading on a 16-core processor is normal and falls within typical operating ranges: https://www.hardwaretimes.com/max-safe-t...-5000-cpus. What cooling solution do you have? If it fails to operate, it suggests your cooler isn’t sufficient for the 5950X. That could mean it’s not powerful enough to maintain safe temperatures. Whoops, I missed the initial specs. Is the cooler positioned correctly? Others have shared similar readings, so consider disabling or lowering PBO settings if active. GPU usage also increases at the same time, indicating it’s functioning properly. You might want to use dedicated GPU monitoring tools like MSI Afterburner or the Nvidia Control Panel, which shows which programs are utilizing the GPU.
