My computer has been idle for two years now, giving me the chance to install it. Initially, when I attempted to power it on, it failed. I discovered that the RAM in the fourth slot was faulty. After replacing it, the system booted up successfully and all my drivers were updated, allowing me to play Smite. During the game, the screen turned blue with the Windows logo and displayed a shutdown message. Now it won’t turn on even when I press the power button. If I switch off and then turn it back on, it starts briefly but throws a series of codes before shutting down completely. At first, I assumed the problem was overheating, but it turns out nothing on the machine feels excessively hot.

I’ve tried swapping out the RAM and using a different one in the first slot, cycling through them, but it still doesn’t clear the codes and restarts immediately. I also removed the GPU, which didn’t affect the codes, and made sure it was properly seated after reinstalling. I verified all connections are secure, yet nothing seems to work.

When trying to start the PC, I only have the power supply connected, so external USB or video ports aren’t interfering.

System details:
- Gigabyte G1.sniper z97
- GeForce GTX 970
- 3 x 8 GB ripjaws X F3-17000
- Intel I7 processor (4700 series – unsure if it’s the correct model)
- Supernova EVGA NEX750G
- Seagate 3000GB HDD

Occurring codes: 2C, 3C, 5C, 15, and occasionally 3A.

If any important details are missing, please inform me so I can revise this entry. I’m still getting accustomed to these troubleshooting steps.
