New setup functions properly without the Rift plugged in. DisplayPort supports monitors. The USB section of the Rift cable operates correctly, and Oculus software detects the headset when only the USB is connected. Inserting the DisplayPort segment of the cable triggers an immediate shutdown followed by a restart in a loop. This happens regardless of the PC activity, even during BIOS operations. Removing the headset side resolves the problem until the headset is reconnected again. Drivers and BIOS have been updated. No error codes were identified, but searching for clues is challenging with this setup. Update: Tested switching GPUs to a 1050ti; the same issue arose, showing the error lights and automatic reset upon GPU check. The same occurs with the 1050ti, accompanied by a beeping sound suggesting a GPU fault. Both the Rift and 1050ti are functional on my spare machine, indicating all components are operational. Operating system: Windows 10 Pro; Power Supply: Phanteks Revolt Pro 850W; CPU: i7 12700K; GPU: Gigabyte Vision OC 3070 Ti; RAM: 2x16GB Corsair Vengeance LPX DDR4 at 3200MHz; Motherboard: Gigabyte Z690 Gaming with DDR4; BIOS: Version F8a; SSD: Samsung 860 QVO 1TB; HDD: Seagate BarraCuda 4TB 3.5".
