Hey I started to become interested in racing games, i bought a cheap Logitech Driving Force GT (i don't have it already, it's coming in 2 days) and I downloaded Richard Burns Rally, I only installed patch 1.01 and 1.02, I used a controller and I have to say it's amazing, can't wait to play it using the steering wheel. Looking at some forums a read that many people have installed a czech plugin, ngp cars, and many things, it's kind of confusing, but how would this affect the physics or simulation grade? I'm interested. Do you think I should play as I already have it or is it a must to install plugins? If so, Could you guide me on that? It seems a bit difficult and I don't know where to start. Thanks and I hope there are many people playing this

Ah, RBR is a solid title that keeps holding up well beyond ten years. Spent many hours playing it, and I still find value in it. My DVD got damaged a few years back, so I’m getting another copy. For now, I’d stick with the original version in its basic form, but when I crave more content I’ll switch to something like RSRBR or a Czech mod. I used RSRBR for several years too. Most mod sets will upgrade the physics to match current standards, though RBR offered decent handling for its era. The cars tend to be too forgiving, making them overly responsive and prone to long rolls. Upgrading mods usually smooths things out, adding weight and inertia. These packages also come with a front-end that lets you bypass certain restrictions, letting you swap out the 8 cars and play through any stages you like. In my old RSRBR setup, I managed hundreds of vehicles and stages. The only drawback is you’re limited to running stages individually, can’t do rallies or multiplayer modes, and can’t access career playthroughs.
