Hello everyone,
I recently purchased a new PC equipped with a Gigabyte z790 eagle ax motherboard. After setting up Windows, I installed the Gigabyte Control Center app. It worked perfectly for adjusting RGB settings, but when launching a game, the fans on my graphics card (Gigabyte RTX 2080s) failed to activate. My FPS would drop significantly to just 5. Through some online research, I discovered that GCC and the Nvidia App were causing a conflict, preventing the fans from running. I chose to uninstall GCC.

Once done, the fan issue disappeared, but my RGB lights stopped working altogether. Then I installed RGB Fusion from the Gigabyte website, which was tailored for my motherboard. However, when I tried it, I realized I hadn’t configured RGB settings for the motherboard itself—only for graphics and RAM. Adjustments worked for those, but the fans in the case, including the water cooling ones, remained inactive.

I repeatedly reinstalled RGB Fusion and various versions, but the same problem persisted. Eventually, I decided to remove RGB Fusion entirely. After that, nothing lit up at all. I considered reinstalling GCC and deleting the Nvidia App again, but this time I also removed the SignalRGB app I had found online. That way, everything finally started working correctly.

At this point, I was unsure what steps to take next. I was almost considering giving up on my PC. xD

Welcome to the forums, newcomer!
I’m trying to figure out how to get everything working smoothly. I was almost about to give up on my PC.
Make sure you didn’t purchase your components just for them to look like a Christmas decoration.
When sharing a troubleshooting thread, it’s important to provide complete system details. Please list the specifications of your build, such as:
CPU:
CPU cooler:
Motherboard:
RAM:
SSD/HDD:
GPU:
PSU:
Chassis:
OS:
Monitor:
Also include the age of the PSU, along with its make and model.
Bios version for your motherboard at this time.
Regarding RGB devices, mention all of them in your build. Remember, RGB and ARGB are different standards.
You might want to check our forums or other platforms—SignalRGB and similar apps often download firmware based on assumptions that aren’t always accurate.
If I were you, I’d handle each device’s app to control your lighting.
