It's a 60% discount for those who own the original, with 10% off for new releases and 50% for previous owners. Some players feel it's just a rebranded version with different visuals, while others prefer third-party modifications for better performance. The upcoming DLC might not live up to expectations if the game quality remains low. Currently, you can only buy the original through Origin. What do you think?
The original version, including the remaster, has its own unique appeal...a mix of Forgotten Realms fantasy reminiscent of R.A. Salvatore with occasional touches of Fable style. It seems this game was released around 2012, featuring more depth in storytelling than Fable, but it appeared to be released about five years later than planned. I’m considering bypassing the remaster and diving into Pillars of Eternity II for the first time.
I felt the same way when I attempted to play STALKER 1. I really tried, but it was tough. It’s like trying to love someone you find attractive but can’t connect with.
It's a fantasy adventure with action elements, similar to other titles in the genre. If you become absorbed in its story and world, spending considerable time on side missions makes sense. However, if the trailer doesn't appeal or the gameplay footage isn't compelling, you might not enjoy it. For those seeking alternatives, Neverwinter's offers a solid experience even with its free-to-play model, while the full Neverwinter Nights provides 60-120 hours of content including expansions, though it's now considered an older title.
I own the original KoA on Steam, but I never actually played it. It just didn’t click with me. I was hoping Re-Reckoning would look much improved, so it’d be worth trying, but now that I’ve seen it... no. I’d rather invest my money in better remakes such as Mafia and Crysis.
I tried the original on Xbox360... reached a decent point but didn’t complete it. It wasn’t terrible, just got sidetracked and stopped playing. Later I got it on Steam and never installed it again.
