Hey everyone !
I recently purchased a new rig a few months back and have been playing many games since. Whenever I play with friends, I consistently see lower FPS than they do, even though we all have computers that are technically weaker.
I've experimented a bit and reached the limit of my limited knowledge, so I'm now reaching out for your assistance!
What should I check? Are there any settings I need to enable or disable? I'm really unsure where to start.

Welcome to the forums, newcomer!
I recently purchased a new rig a few months ago and have been playing several games since then.
Was this system a prebuilt?
When I play with friends, I consistently see lower FPS than they do, even though we use the same in-game settings, while their computers are technically weaker.
To give you a full understanding, please share your friend's system specs as you have done before.
Motherboard: PRO Z790-A MAX WIFI
What BIOS version are you using?
RAM: T-Force Delta 32GX2 6000 MT/s
Do you have a link to the RAM kit? Is E.X.P.O enabled in BIOS?
I’ve experimented a bit and reached the limit of my limited knowledge, so I’m now seeking your assistance.
Could you explain what you did before starting this thread to avoid misunderstandings about what didn’t work for you?
If the OS was installed while connected to the internet, try using DDU in Safe Mode to remove all GPU drivers (Intel, AMD, Nvidia), then reboot and manually install the latest GPU driver from Nvidia’s support site. Use an elevated command, such as right-clicking the installer and selecting Run as Administrator.

Thank you!
My MOBO is running on M.80 BIOS. I don’t have an exact link to the RAM kit. I bought the computer prebuilt in a local shop, like the one I’m using.
Regarding the EXPO, it’s turned on.
I think I’ll try the uninstalling and reinstalling method. It usually works for most things!

My MOBO is operating with M.80 BIOS.
https://www.msi.com/Motherboard/PRO-Z790...FI/support
It is strongly suggested to update the BIOS to version 7E07vM9, as this includes microcode 0x12F which is essential for protecting your 14th Gen i9 processor from self-destruction. After confirming the flash was successful, reset the CMOS.
As previously mentioned, we require additional details.

Stopping my CPU from crashing seems to be the most important thing right now. I had no idea it was even something I needed to worry about. Thanks for bringing it to my attention!
Regarding my friends' details, I don't have them right now but I'll try to get them as soon as possible.

Do you know if they're using 1080P, 1440P or 4K? It really matters.

Mostly they use standard 1440P displays. What impact would this have in comparison to your screen?

I'm not sure about your exact resolution but it's higher than a typical 1440P display and lower than full 4K. It might result in slightly fewer frames per second. Have you thought about whether your friends are using DLSS or frame generation? You're right, there are many factors involved. If I run Avowed without DLSS off, I get about 60 FPS. With DLSS enabled on a balanced setting I reach around 80 to 90 FPS, and with both DLSS and frame generation it's about 150 FPS.

By the way, don't compare these FPS numbers directly to your setup. I have a 5900X/4090.
