Review of Star Wars Battlefront 2 Alpha featuring screenshots.
I checked the game settings for ping and FPS options, but didn’t find any available. I thought it might be limited for the Alpha version; it wasn’t a big issue, though it would have been better to know exactly how many frames per second with these configurations. Overall, I’m content with the experience and appreciated your feedback.
It's typically not shown in the options interface. Pressing ~ usually launches the console, where you can enter commands directly. You could also make a User.cfg file with your preferred commands and save it in your installation folder so the game loads them automatically—this might help even if the console isn't reachable. Of course, I'm just guessing this would apply to an unfinished title I haven't tried. Most of these methods worked for Battlefront 1 and earlier Battlefield games, likely tied to Frostbite technology. If you have another chance like this, try removing the cap that way.
Remind me in nine hours to capture the screenshots of this game—I tend to miss it.
Certainly! The different classes offer unique abilities and roles. The sniper specializes in long-range precision, while the heavy focuses on raw power. Both have distinct weapon setups—Battlefield provides a versatile loadout for adaptability. The officer class adds strategic command options, enhancing team coordination. Class-specific cards further tailor each build to its strengths.
If there were role-based loadouts, they weren't accessible in Alpha, at least from what I observed. Each role came with fixed primary options and couldn't be swapped. This could change in the beta version. Assault is the go-to choice for beginners, as it's straightforward and easy to learn. Blaster offers solid firepower with a manageable recoil and damage, though overheating can occur after several shots. These common stormtroopers use thermal detonators, receive speed boosts, minor damage increases, and a passive that boosts health after each kill—whether it's true regeneration or simply raising max health. The base health is around 200. Other classes provide additional abilities and cards, but I didn’t have time to explore them. Heavy excels with a powerful machine gun and a shield for leading your team, though its damage is low. He carries a deployable mini-shield and a shield-boosting "Rally" effect that enhances allies’ defense. This role is essential for groups needing strong frontline protection. Specialist Pew Pew! These are long-range sniper roles; I struggle to recall their specific cards, but they seem focused on precision and distance. For the most part, I relied on a pistol with limited damage and no thermal effects. Officers have lower health compared to Assault, use pistols, and lack thermal detonators. Their turret is poor, but their "Rally" effect gives allies extra shields. This class is ideal for teams with many allies who need protection.
