Review of My (Little) Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 A gripping update with enhanced gameplay and immersive storytelling.
Introduction I've played the game for roughly 20 hours now. I believe I have sufficient knowledge and experience to share my thoughts about it. Overall, it's quite solid—very solid if you're general. It scores around an 8 or 9 out of 10. I'll divide each part into smaller sections.
Singleplayer
Like most Call of Duty titles, the campaign feels fairly uninteresting, with only a few nice moments. It lacks a strong main plot and direction. Yet, once you finish the campaign, a new "zombies" mode becomes available. This is the standout campaign I've experienced—consider it the best one I've played. It offers a solid story and is highly enjoyable. Generally, the main campaign was mediocre (7/10), but the zombies campaign shines (very good).
Zombies
The shadows of evil map stands out, featuring engaging characters, an intriguing backstory, and overall great gameplay. The only drawbacks are minor challenges. The giant boss is particularly entertaining and the layout is compact and straightforward.
Multplayer
Little has changed compared to previous entries; the game remains functional and fun. It provides a balanced experience with solid online performance—compared to something like Battlefield, it's a refreshing alternative.
The giant isn't brand new; it first appeared in WOW! and BO1, and it's one of the most beloved maps ever made.
I believed netcode was just a myth. I haven't faced any issues with it.
