Review of LTT Products
Yeah, I’m confused about this. I heard similar things on forums, but the players never talk about monthly subscriptions or buying weapons. I thought it’d cost around $20, so I’m okay with that even if I don’t like the game—it’s only that price. Anthony Cumia seems to have a good time playing and getting ganked, then losing all his loot in one night. Sounds like a fun but frustrating experience! He also warns people to avoid police stations and pleasant valley unless they’re protected by allies who haven’t hurt them or taken their belongings yet.
I own it and it works well. People mentioned it's free to play at the final release, so it might be worth waiting. However, avoid being influenced by the "pay to win" mindset. You can purchase tickets to receive an airdrop with a low chance of containing weapons—this weapon is also present in the game but isn't the only one. Other valuable items can be collected during these drops as well.
The exciting part is that when the airdrop lands, it's loud and slow (everyone knows it's coming). The plane drops the crate within a 700-meter radius of your location, not just at your feet. A large number of zombies will emerge from the drop, along with other players who can easily track it due to the slow landing and wide area. That’s why it’s not so bad—pay to win means you pay and get what you want, plus you gain an edge. This isn’t the same as the usual "pay to win" model.
(It takes roughly 10-20 seconds to open the crate.) If you manage to handle the zombies that appear (about 10-15) and the competition for the prize, you’ll feel justified. Based on my experience, I’ve never felt unfair during any deaths. The ability to craft a bow and arrow capable of killing with one hit—by tearing through your shirt and gathering sticks from bushes—shows the game is balanced.
This perfectly captures the airdrops from the four items I received. The first three were given as part of my initial purchase, but I couldn’t locate one because I didn’t know what to do and thought it would appear where I could see it—leading to starvation. Looking back, calling it while in the forest wasn’t a good move. One had zombies eating me while I tried to unlock it, even though I had crafted a bow but ran out of arrows. Another involved other players killing me before I reached it. The last one was rewarding, containing a shotgun, ammo, food, and more useful items found naturally in the game. It’s early access, so it isn’t flawless, but updates happen much more often than in DayZ. Playing with friends makes it a lot more enjoyable.
I received a refund and thought it was a weak copy of DayZ SA. Poor performance, microtransactions, and the biggest issue is the sale of SOE.
