The discussion focuses on how the game performs on older systems. It mentions that ray tracing is being phased out and performance issues with the RTX are being reported. The main concern is whether a fallback layer exists in DXR, allowing it to emulate the effect in regular shaders, though likely at a reduced speed. If someone has the game and a compatible card, they are encouraged to test it and share their observed frame rates.

It doesn't function properly with non-RTX cards, which means no one can provide the information you seek. If they could achieve it through software simulation, it would be much slower since the 2080 TI handles 78 RTX-OPS while the 1080 TI manages just 12.

I don't have the DXR feature enabled on my GTX1080 in BF5. I'm using Windows 10 version 1809.

It's frustrating. It seems logical that users could activate it without understanding what it does, and then shift blame to the monitor or chair.

There is a backup version available; you can also explore the source on GitHub if you're interested.

However, the content you're referring to isn't present in Battlefield V.
