Reverting overclock when voltage surpasses 100%
Reverting overclock when voltage surpasses 100%
Recently, I transferred my graphics card (Strix GTX 1070 OC) from a PCI-E X4 slot to a PCI-E X16 slot on my motherboard (GA-Z87-HD3) to check for performance improvements. After reinstalling the graphics driver and MSI After Burner, I ran the Heaven benchmark. I noticed that when power exceeded 100%, even if I allowed it to reach 115%, my screen would go black for a few seconds and my overclock reset.
After reinstalling MSI After Burner again, along with the graphics driver and the benchmark, the issue still remains.
Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

different systems and cards consume varying power levels

I understand what I'm explaining is that when I run a 1070 and a 650 ti boost together under load, everything works well. However, after overclocking the 1070, the 650 ti wasn't connected. I'm certain a minor overclock wouldn't exceed more than 100W.
It's not about power consumption.
