Hey there, friend. I'm currently staying at my parents' house for the holidays. After a lot of waiting, they finally installed WiFi in more areas than just the basement. Instead of purchasing new gear or figuring things out myself, my dad brought back some old dLan equipment from his workplace. The IT guy, whom we can refer to as "A," used this equipment at his own place. Unfortunately, when he handed it over to my dad, there was no documentation, passwords, or any instructions included—just a bag of switches. I’ve managed to spot the main entry point and connected one more switch, which now shows a new network signal with a custom SSID. That should be the right setup, but I’m not entirely sure. The main issue is that I can’t connect because it looks like A has changed both the network name and the passwords on the switches. I tried resetting everything to factory settings, but it didn’t help, even after changing the SSID. Maybe I did it wrong? Could you help me out? I’m not very experienced with networks or dLan, so any advice would be greatly appreciated. Happy holidays and enjoy your time with family!

Visit the Devolo website to obtain the "devolo Cockpit" software. It enables management of network devices, password updates, and identity changes. After configuration, you can freely adjust their positions while the tool monitors them and provides speed reports to help optimize your setup.

It seems you were surprised by how easily something worked. There’s a tool that lets you connect to a secured network without typing the password, and you can adjust settings like a password and a new network name. That’s pretty convenient!
