Revert changes following new feature releases
System restore points remain intact even after updating to a new Windows version. Rollback versions also preserve restore points created prior to the update.
I understand the update is essentially a backup for up to 14 or 30 days, and I think restoring to a previous restore point before the update would likely require two steps. I’m not entirely sure about the exact process.
I understand you can use the rollback feature, but I think it’s different from a full system restore. My folder view settings seem misconfigured, so I intended to reset them using guidance from a file I received on TenForums. I have a restore point ready in case that doesn’t solve my problem during the upgrade. I need to keep the original restore point intact after the upgrade, since it’s causing everything to revert to basic options instead of just my folder settings. I also have a Macrium backup available if things go wrong. System restore points don’t automatically update to a new feature version I noticed.
