You might be able to use Windows 7 from a laptop, but it depends on how the system is set up and whether you have the necessary drivers and updates.

Turn off the laptop's key if you want to switch devices, and use the correct ISO file. You can do this by reading the instructions in the article here:

The bottom left will display a notice indicating your version isn't authentic, and we'll check if the process works.

Location at the bottom right, mostly effective. Except for OEM keys tied to certain boards. About 9 out of 10 times it functions, and if it fails, you can turn it back on on the computer you previously disabled.

Make sure you identify the correct key version, as the ISO depends on that specific version. There’s no other source for it—only Microsoft can provide it. (This isn’t the current version you’re using, but the key type is important.)

Yes, there are tools available that can help transfer a hard drive to another system, often by creating a backup or clone of the data.

Search for relevant links using terms like "ShadowCopy," "CloneZilla," and "EaseUS backup." Consider popular tools such as ShadowCopy, CloneZilla, and Easeus. Also, look into Acronis software and check if a free version exists.
