Hi! I attempted to return my board through the vendor’s process, but they declined it citing “accidental damage.” I made sure the motherboard was properly seated and explained the problems a few hours after it arrived. After removal, the board was placed back in its original packaging. Their feedback stated that the PCB traces on the rear had damage and there were some edge issues. They offered to send it to ASUS out of goodwill, though I’m concerned this might be an attempt to avoid handling the replacement myself. I prefer not to use ASUS because they have long wait times, and I’m only 15 days after purchase—under their warranty they should have replaced it if it was acceptable.

What do others think about these photos? Are they selective? Is this typical for motherboards with minor damage? I noticed the board was straight when opened, but wasn’t sure if that was normal. The coil whine issue is also visible in the image. It seems like this problem might be common across this batch.
