I'm here to help with your question. Could you provide more details about what you're setting up?

OK, but are there any "known but not documented" issues? I'm worried on how to output sound mostly, and this is a pretty big project for me so I want to do it right.

Retropie works well as-is, the main problem I noticed is when Kodi is also installed, it tends to pull you back into the Retropie interface, though a basic restart should resolve it.

Sure thing. I’ll focus on the software part tomorrow. I’m working on creating a compact arcade machine that looks polished. It should be easy for non-technical folks to use—just plug it in, turn it on, and enjoy playing.

RetroPie is quite straightforward and intuitive. You should be able to configure the audio output to either a 3.5mm jack or HDMI using raspi-config.
