Hello, thank you for reaching out. Here are some points to consider: your setup seems well-balanced, but there are a few factors to check. With an I5 8400 and GTX 1050 Ti, your GPU is handling the workload well, especially at higher settings where FPS drops to 70-80. When you cap FPS at 60, it suggests your CPU isn’t reaching full utilization, which could indicate the GPU is limiting performance. Your monitor at 60Hz is fine for this configuration. If you notice consistent performance across settings, it’s likely your GPU is the bottleneck. Consider testing with a lighter workload or updating drivers to see if that helps.

What are your specifications? It seems the CPU is limiting the GPU performance.

Apex legends runs on an altered source known for heavy CPU demands. I switched to a 7th gen i5 and a Ryzen 3600 to overcome the bottleneck, now maintaining around 100 frames per second with the GPU consistently near 96% utilization.

Look into TaskManager to identify background programs running unnecessarily.

I verified and halted all background tasks; the game runs at 93% while I achieve 120 FPS with minimal settings.

The game runs smoothly at 120 fps with full CPU usage, indicating it's quite demanding on the processor.

It's really tough with the game running at 93% CPU usage even on low settings, and my CPU is at full capacity while I still see a steady 120 FPS.

Yes, when the CPU reaches full capacity you're hitting a performance limit from the CPU side. Prior to upgrading, your stats were consistently high—99% CPU and 80/70% GPU—but after the upgrade you see noticeable gains, averaging around 150 FPS with some areas improving by 200 FPS. The minimum boost is now about 100 FPS on tough sections, and your GPU usage stays steady at 96%, while your CPU fluctuates between 20% and 55%. It feels like a completely different experience. GTX 1660 Super, Ryzen 3600, 16GB RAM, all running at 1440p on low settings.

My resolution is 1366x768, similar to your MSI afterburner displaying different CPU stats. The CPU usage seems to vary between 80-100%, and the Xbox game bar now shows 100%. It’s unclear which one is accurate. When I close the game, the taskbar usage drops, but I still can’t see it clearly while playing.

I understand your situation since I used a GT 1030 for a while and had some advice to share. Follow this guide and check out the results!
