Restricting performance to 2.4Ghz in Windows 10
Hey, since I'm in school, I can't adjust the router settings directly. The school Wi-Fi uses 802.11n with both 5GHz and 2.4GHz enabled. I'm wondering how to connect only to 2.4GHz instead of 5GHz. 5GHz is slow (around 500kbps), while 2.4GHz can reach up to 60Mbps. Is there a way to change this using commands or the control panel? The network properties don't offer that option, and my desktop has it. Also, the network uses a Qualcomm Atheros QCA9377 chipset.
I've already checked it. Connecting to 2.4 works perfectly, but with 5GHz it becomes problematic, even at home. That's why I prefer using 2.4GHz.
How can I reset this? That’s exactly what I need. My laptop doesn’t let me pick 2.4GHz or 5GHz, which is why I’m asking.
