Hey there! I'm planning to dual boot Ubuntu and have been checking out installation guides. Since I haven't made a restore disk yet, and I don’t have the Windows 10 media or license info, I’m looking for tips on creating one. Any recommendations on programs or methods would be super helpful! Thanks! ~ZombifiedPyro

Visit the official Microsoft download page for Windows 10. After that, utilize Free ISO Burner at the provided link.

They offer their own genuine download options. Nice. Question 2: will the installation request an I product key? I’d expect that, so how can I locate my product key? They used to have it on a label at the bottom of the laptops.

Access the product key stored in the BIOS via NirSoft's tool.

They have a variety of advanced features. Thank you, sir. I won’t actually require the product key anymore, but I’ll save this software for later. By the way, do you need to configure the Windows Media Creation Tool before using my laptop, or can I simply download a new ISO file directly from the program?

The process begins by selecting the desired Windows 10 edition. Next, an ISO file is generated, which you can then burn onto a storage device.

I believe it does. I don’t have to back up or make a restore disk before possibly messing up my Windows setup. Once I get the ISO for a new install later, this should help clarify: does the media creation tool generate a restore disk from the OS already installed, or do you need to download an ISO directly from the program?
