This situation has been sorted, yet new problems keep appearing. Largely due to user mistakes. I’m starting fresh with a Threadripper PC equipped with an AM5 motherboard, a Ryzen 7 7500G, 32 GB DDR5 RAM, and switching from air to liquid cooling via an AIO. Despite the fans spinning on the AIO (thermalright frozen notte 360 argb), it doesn’t appear to be functioning properly. I removed the heatsink, applied fresh thermal paste, but temperatures still rise rapidly—from around 50°C at startup to 100°C within minutes. This is my first experience with an AIO, so I’m hoping I overlooked something obvious. After peeling off the AIO sticker, I thought it would help.

At these temperatures, can you gently feel the hoses near the AIO to see if they’re warm? If not, it means the pump isn’t circulating the fluid. Make sure the AIO Pump connections are secure.

It seems like you're referring to a large quantity of Tim, possibly acting as a barrier or insulator.

It seems the pump could be malfunctioning or blocked by an air bubble, which is hurting performance. Give it a good shake and ensure the radiator stays above the pump during installation. If shaking a few times for a short time doesn’t help, the pump might be dead or damaged from an air bubble. You likely applied too much thermal paste, but that isn’t the main issue—reduce it to about 30% and apply it evenly once the pump is working properly.

Verify the essential details: Ensure the mounting pressure matches the appropriate AMD bracket. Confirm the pump isn't dead. Check that the pump power cable connects directly from the fan header to the control circuit.

They are not warm. I was trying to determine if I could feel liquid moving or not, but it was too hard to tell. There’s a super subtle vibration but likely just from all the fans. Everything looks to be plugged in correctly but this is a really confusing aio. The fans and rgb all are working so it means the pump cable is the only one in question right? Honestly not even sure which one that is. The one coming from the heatsink runs to the daisy chain off the fans, but I think the one above the gpu by the m.2 heatsink was pump power

I initially thought it was the problem at first, but adding more didn’t fix it.

The red cable you see here is the AIO pump cable. It should be linked to the AIO_PUMP or CPU_OPT header.

It’s securely fastened and fits the T-Chip well. Uncertain about the pump quality, not sure how to verify. The pump appears to be connected correctly, and I believe the power is plugged in properly. There’s a header near the CPU that a video card mentioned should be used for connection.
