The laptop was restored and is now inactive, with the previous key no longer functioning. I attempted to reverse the restore process, but it didn’t activate it. I’m looking for ways to reactivate it without purchasing a new key.

I have two ideas:
1. Check the notebook's bottom for a serial number.
2. Contact the manufacturer.
