You should be able to upgrade both your GPU and CPU without losing your files, but make sure everything is backed up first. After the upgrade, you typically won’t need to reinstall Windows unless you’re replacing the entire system.

You don’t have to reinstall the operating system; just update or delete the outdated GPU drivers when switching from NVIDIA to AMD or the other way around.
