Restarting Windows again
Hello! I understand you've tried Windows on your SSD before and now want to perform a complete, fresh installation from scratch. Let me know if you need guidance on the steps involved.
Save the Microsoft Media Creation utility. Build a bootable USB with Windows installed. Restart and adjust your BIOS to recognize the USB as the startup device. Proceed with the Windows setup wizard. When prompted, choose the drive you just created, then remove all existing partitions before installation. This will erase current data and begin with a clean slate.
On reaching the partition menu, simply erase all files and tap next. Also keep in mind to disconnect any additional storage devices that aren’t your operating system drive during the installation process.
If you purchased Windows via the install jump drive, you can usually reinstall it directly from the installation media. This avoids needing to visit the website. Just follow the prompts on the CD or USB to complete the setup.
You might be able to, but I strongly suggest creating a fresh flash drive. This ensures you have the most recent Windows 10 version from the start. I’m uncertain if the Microsoft drive can be replaced or overwritten. I haven’t seen any benefit in buying one when you can make your own.
