Restarting Windows 7 with a fresh installation
I possess an old Dell next to me right now. It's a solid machine with Windows 7 Enterprise and a few programs installed. The main issue is performing a factory reset to start fresh with Windows 7. I've attempted several methods but haven't succeeded. I've tried using system recovery, BIOS settings, restoring from system restore, and reinstalling Windows 7 via the product key. However, I don't have the installation media and can't find the product key. I'm concerned about needing a product key for the reset. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
There’s nothing possible to retrieve the product key. You didn’t need to pay extra for another key.
It is enterprise, And I don't have any keys only the vista key on the case (Unless the vista key works on windows 7?)
You'll need a fresh key. Some programs allow you to remove keys. Windows 10 can still work even if it's not active.
Windows Enterprise is exclusively available for businesses. Purchasing it legally requires joining an MS VL reseller program. Obtaining the product key fails for such items, and the original owner may have already exhausted all 50 activation slots.
