On your AMD PC, you can install an SSD like the Seagate 4TB into the SSHD during a Windows reinstall. Yes, that's what happened a few days back when I reinstalled W10 Home on my laptop. It works without needing the product code and offers two options—just click 'skip this step'.

Check if the setup is fixed to the Mobo. You can reset it before the weekend and swap the motherboard afterward.
