Hey there! I just finished rebuilding my PC, effectively putting it together from scratch. -ROG Strix z590-A Gaming WiFi 6 -I7-11700KF -Gigabye GeForce RTX 3060 12gb -Corsair Vengeance LPX 32gb 3600MHz -CoolerMaster MasterLiquid PL360 -Kingston NV2 2TB M.2 2280 -SeaSonic Focus Gold+ 550w The graphics card and power unit were from my old system, which was around 2016. At startup, I got power up but no screen—turns out the RAM wasn’t properly seated. Now the machine runs but keeps restarting randomly. Sometimes it boots into BIOS and then jumps back right after trying to exit. I fixed the boot issue but now it shuts off and restarts in about two seconds, then logs me in automatically. I checked Windows settings and Control Panel for power tweaks, but nothing works. I’m stuck and was considering a full wipe and reinstall, but thought I’d ask for advice first. Also, the motherboard auto-overshot my CPU to nearly 5GHz—thought adjusting the jumper might help, it didn’t. Edit: The board has both an 8-pin and a 4-pin socket, but only the 8-pin is connected. Should I get a 4-pin adapter or upgrade the PSU now?

Have you modified the motherboard BIOS? Which version are you running? A recent update was released for the KF series when it launched. If your BIOS is not version 1202, it’s advisable to upgrade.

First revision Focus Plus Gold 550w is experiencing shutdown problems with random video cards. Consider using a better power supply and steer clear of Seasonic.

I refreshed the bios per the suggestion, and it appears to be functioning properly. I’m also getting a 750W power supply soon for backup. Thank you!
