You're not really noticing the 9400f as an improvement because you already have an i7. You might want to wait for more savings or consider buying a 3600 yourself.

If you don't there's a good chance it won't boot at all, and even if it does you'll run into issues with windows update or other stuff in the future. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZQVu5E4uwks

You want to remove the third-generation CPU socket from your motherboard because you also require DDR3 RAM.

You're asking why you'd want to replace the old CPU. It might be because it's not fast enough for your needs, but modern CPUs still perform well today.

This decision lacks strong justification for the improvement.

The system cannot recognize the motherboard drivers because they don’t match any other device in the setup.

I realized DDR3 and DDR4 mainly impacted clock speed, not overall performance. I’ll focus on upgrading the case and power supply. I included a photo of my prebuilt system—just the GPU was new and I recently changed the RAM. I know cable management can be tough, but I hope you can tell how old my motherboard is.

Usually windows sets up the required disks using a standard update. Sometimes problems arise, but I've handled it several times, and windows 10 has improved significantly in this area.

I share your opinion on this. Installing and using Windows works well now, and it seems drivers are improving. However, in the long run, some leftover issues might still affect performance.
