Restarting the CMOS chip
Restarting the CMOS chip
I made a really wrong move by altering a BIOS setting without understanding its purpose (probably related to overclocking, I can't recall). After saving and exiting, the system didn’t respond and my motherboard’s RGB wasn’t visible. I looked into it and found that resetting the CMOS usually fixes the issue. I tried removing the battery for half a minute and reinserting it, but that didn’t help. I also attempted to short the reset CMOS pins, though it had no impact. The CPU model is Ryzen 5 5600X with a Gigabyte B550 Aorus Elite AX V2.
