Restarted CMOS due to reboot cycle, screen unavailable and GPU not recognized.
Hi, I faced stability problems after adjusting RAM settings. I set the frequency to 5200 and disabled XMP, which initially helped for a couple of days. After that, the PC entered a reboot loop. I reset the CMOS and now the motherboard isn’t detecting the GPU, and there’s no display on the internal GPU. My build includes: MSI Pro B650 P, Wi-Fi, Corsair 2x16GB DDR5 at 5600MHz, MSI Ventus RTX 4070, 12GB NVMe SSD, NXT 650 Gold, Scythe Mugen 5 rev before I consider further changes. Should I remove the GPU and check if the motherboard shows a display, or try reseating it?
Attempted boot without GPU, white post illuminated but no screen visible on the motherboard. Ran tests without GPU and 1GB RAM – post error light appeared, still no display. Replaced RAM and GPU, post issue vanished but white post reappeared without a screen. All attempts allowed a few minutes for detection. Believed components are functioning properly. Last time I played cp2077 on ultra with ray tracing and it ran smoothly. Disappointed I adjusted the frequency settings. Edited July 11, 2023 by beepboop01 Typo
Reset the CMOS once more. Ensure the computer is disconnected from power.
Using the connected GPU or skipping it and pressing the CMOS button? (You've been working with the pins already)
Turned off PSU, removed plug, used screwdriver on reset pins for 20 seconds—it didn’t work. Stuck on white light briefly afterward.
