I create PCs for fun and conduct a trial with a Windows setup I connect to each machine I test. It functions properly. When I power on, Windows immediately displays "configuring devices." After setting up the appropriate drivers for new components, it operates as expected. You're mistaken.
It’s nice to start fresh sometimes, but I’ve been using the same Windows install for two years with lots of updates—switching between Intel and AMD, adding multiple GPUs, etc. This weekend I did a fresh install while trying to fix something, and it turned out nothing was wrong. Still, with how fast these installs are now, it feels great to have a clean slate if you take the time to back up and reinstall what you need.
Everything works smoothly. Risks may arise later, but there’s nothing to worry about right now. Mistakes are easy to make without any repercussions until they become noticeable.
