The PC restarts normally after removing the new SSD. It’s possible the SSD is damaged.

Another update, I almost missed that my boot drive is a SATA SSD Samsung 850. It looks like it gets disabled when I add the M.2, so I need to figure out a workaround, probably.

The problem was resolved by relocating another SSD from SATA port 6 to port 4, allowing the M.2 slot to share lanes properly.
