CPU model: Ryzen 5 5600G. RAM setup: Corsair Vengeance LPX 16GB (2 x 8GB) DDR4 3600MHz. Boot drive: Crucial P2 1TB NVMe PCIe M.2 SSD. GPU: Powercolor RX80 8GB. This machine was assembled in December 2021 for my partner. I initially provided it without the RX580 since her needs didn’t require more than the integrated GPU. We relocated, and I transferred my old RX580 to her system. During installation, I added two extra 8GB sticks in slots 1 and 3, but the computer failed to boot with them. It operated briefly with the GPU for a few weeks before stopping and prompting "Reboot and select proper boot device." After reviewing videos, I suspected the NVMe drive failed. I created a bootable USB to test detection and it worked. All files were accessible. In the BIOS, I checked boot priority—it showed only the connected drive. Interestingly, the system reported detecting just 8GB of RAM even though two sticks were installed. Could this RAM issue be causing the Windows boot failure? Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

Does the noise resemble an NVMe or SSD problem? What is found on the bootable USB drive? If a single RAM stick is suspected, test them one by one to check if any are faulty.
