Last year I got an old machine from my grandparents. It worked well until recently, when the "reboot and select proper boot device" prompt began showing up. Even with a Windows 10 bootable USB and swapping the HDD for a new SSD model (Acer Aspire AX3950, 8GB RAM, Kingston A400 240GB SSD), it still wouldn’t boot.
