Restart randomly after upgrades
Restart randomly after upgrades
Recently upgraded my PSU, motherboard, and CPU—switched from an i5 6500 to a Ryzen 7 5800X with an MSI B450 A Pro Max and added a Corsair RM850 PSU for certain games like Absolver I. GTA V was one of them. Most often the PC restarts when loading a game, but after that it restarts randomly. Sometimes the screen goes black mid-game as if power was cut, then it auto-restarts. I’ve tried fixing things by removing RAM sticks one at a time and reseating PSU connections, but nothing seems to fix it. The issue is mostly random. I’ve updated chipset drivers and GPU drivers (GTX 1060 6GB), and I’m using Windows 11. M.2 SSD was fresh installed with the motherboard. If anyone can help, please let me know.

I installed the optional update but haven’t enabled it yet and began the installation. It keeps restarting unexpectedly without any blue screen issues. I suspect the 64-bit system update is causing this problem; avoid using the optional versions since they may affect your setup. If you did install it, give it a few days for the full release to appear—it will replace the faulty beta version.
It’s exactly what it suggests... Look up this thread in the forum and you’ll find it.
We used two sticks in a set and then got another one separately. This hasn’t happened to me before after the upgrade; I had three sticks before that.
I don't know, I just had another problem now. I changed the RAM to a different brand, but the BIOS is set to auto and I left it there. I exited the BIOS and can't even post anymore. I also tried swapping back to the original RAM, but that didn't help either.
